Reverend Bruce Washington has faithfully served as Senior Pastor of Berean Missionary Baptist Church since May 4, 2008. Known for his servant’s heart and visionary leadership, Pastor Washington is deeply committed to shepherding his congregation with love, courage, and purpose.

He is passionate about proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ, teaching God’s Word in ways that are both practical and relevant, and building a strong, united church that impacts both the congregation and the surrounding community.

Pastor Washington is a graduate of Wellington High School in Wellington, Kansas (Class of 1982). He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas, equipping him with a strong foundation for ministry and community engagement.

He has been joyfully married to his wife, First Lady Lisa Washington, for over 29 years. Together, they are proud parents of one daughter, LaShamia, and two sons, Jonte’ and Justice, and are blessed with two grandchildren.

Outside of ministry, Pastor Washington enjoys traveling, reading, watching movies, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and playing golf. Most of all, he cherishes spending quality time with his family.

Pastor Washington believes that ministry is not the work of one individual, but the collective effort of the entire church family working together in unity and joy. His guiding scripture, I Corinthians 1:10, reflects his vision:

“One Church — One Sound.”
